The mud filter press is divided into three steps of filtration and dehydration:
1. Gravity dewatering area.
The sludge from the wastewater treatment plant is pumped into the sludge stirring tank, and after being mixed with the polymer coagulant (polymer), the small suspended particles in the sludge form large latex (floc) particles through the bridge effect of the polymer coagulant, and then overflow from the upper end of the stirring tank through gravity flow and enter the subsequent extrusion dewatering operation.
2. Pressure dehydration zone.
After the sludge enters the pressure dewatering zone from the gravity dewatering zone, the upper and lower filter cloths begin to squeeze the sludge gradually for dewatering.
3. Pressure dehydration zone.
The sludge moves with the filter cloth into the pressurized dewatering zone. Between the six vertical rollers, the pressure increases gradually from small to large according to the diameter of the roller. As the upper and lower filter cloths change the upper and lower positions between different rollers to produce shear force on the sludge, the capillaries in the feather mud are squeezed out in combination with water to produce a dry sludge cake.

Four. Performance
The scientific design and reasonable layout of the mud filter press ensure the high dewatering performance of the filter press. The main dewatering roller adopts a perforated design, which not only improves the processing capacity, but also dehydrates the sludge on both sides at the same time. In the process of pressure filtration, both sides of the filter belt are dehydrated rapidly, which shortens the dehydration time. The smaller roller arrangement at the back and the change of the contact angle of the filter belt ensure a good combination of pressure and shear force, which greatly improves the solid content and dehydration efficiency of the mud cake.

The tension of the filter belt is realized by the inflation cylinder, so that the entire filter belt maintains a constant tension, and the tension will not change due to the change of the feed amount, and the operation and management are convenient. The filter press has an air pressure control system that automatically detects the position of the filter belt on the pressure roller and automatically corrects it. For the wide filter mud belt filter press, it is also equipped with an automatic sludge feeding device to ensure that the sludge enters the filter belt in a balanced manner, improve the filtration efficiency and extend the service life of the filter belt.
VI. Structure
The mud filter press has two filter belts and an extended gravity dewatering zone before the normal pressure dewatering zone. This unique structure not only improves dehydration efficiency, reduces chemicals, but also greatly reduces energy consumption.
7. Operating procedures.
1. Preparations.
A. Please read the instructions in detail, understand the operating procedures and methods, and skillfully operate the dehydrator and its assembly components.
B. Check whether the mud filter press and its components are in good condition, and confirm that there is no other debris on the filter cloth and roller.
C. Check the oil level of the reducer.
d. Check whether the position of filter cloth is correct.
E. Check whether the scraper is in contact with the filter cloth.
f. Check whether the tension of the upper and lower filter cloth is appropriate, and adjust it to the appropriate tension.
g. Check the air compressor and adjust the air pressure of the machine.
2. Start working.
A. Start the air compressor air storage tank control valve and send pressurized air to the air pressure control unit.
B. Adjust the air pressure to set the tension of the filter cloth. When pre-adjusting, pay attention to the tension telescopic frame not touching the frame.
c. Move the filter cloth offset sensing device slightly by hand, check whether the cylinder will move normally, and test whether the emergency stop switch function is normal.
d. Start the filter cloth washing pump and check whether the water volume and water pressure of the pump meet the requirements (water pressure: 4kg/cm2).
E. Then start the mud belt filter press equipment and check whether all equipment is operating normally.
f. Start the sludge supply pump.
g. If the filter cloth offset does not return to the normal position, stop the operation immediately.
h. Remember that if the tension on the filter cloth is not maintained properly, the filter cloth offset control system may not function.
3. Stop working.
A. Turn off the sludge supply pump.
B. Then, let the mud filter press rotate for at least 20 minutes. When the belt sludge dewatering machine is still in operation, the filter cloth cleaning pump and sludge conveying device should continue to operate until the residual sludge is completely removed from the belt filter press and the filter cloth is cleaned.
c. Ensure that the sludge cake is completely separated from the mud belt filter press, clean the filter cloth and rollers, and then turn off the belt filter press, washing pump and contaminated cake conveying device.
