When it comes to industrial products, many people know, but few people are familiar with the name of the filter press. However, these industrial products are indispensable in modern industrial construction, so let us understand the classification and use of automatic filter presses!

Automatic filter press can be divided into four categories:

1. plate and frame filter press

The automatic filter press is composed of filter plates and filter frames arranged alternately. The appearance of the filter plate has a groove, and its protruding part is used to support the filter cloth. The corner of the filter plate has a through hole. After assembly, a clean channel is formed, and the filtrate can be washed and withdrawn through the suspension. Both sides of the plate and the frame are respectively equipped with handles, supported by beams. Install the pressure plate and filter frame with the pressure plate. The filter cloth between the filter plate and the filter frame acts as a gasket. Use the feed pump to add floating hydraulic pressure to the filter chamber until the filter cloth fills the filter chamber. The filtrate is discharged centrally through the channel of the filter cloth along the filter plate groove to the corner of the plate frame. After filtering, the stain can be rinsed with clean water. After washing, the remaining washing liquid is sometimes removed by compressed air. Then, open the oil filter, remove the oil filter residue, clean the oil filter cloth, press the plate and frame again, and start the next working cycle.

The automatic filter press is also suitable for cake tightening or suspensions that are close to impossible to tighten. The solid particle concentration of suitable suspensions is usually less than 10%, and the operating pressure usually reaches 0.3-0.6MPa, especially above 3MPa. The filtration area can be increased or decreased according to the number of plates and frames used. The frame is generally square, the length of the filter frame is 200~2000mm, the thickness of the frame is 16~80mm, and the filter area is 0.5~1200 square meters. The plate frame is pressed by manual screws, electric screws, hydraulic pressure, etc. The plate frame is made of wood, cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, polypropylene and rubber.

Two, stamping

The structure and working principle of the automatic filter press are similar to those of the plate and frame filter, but the depressions on both sides of the filter plate are different. Every two filter plates are combined with a wing-shaped filter chamber, omitting the suspension with a round hole in the center of the filter plate. Each filter is suitable for suspensions that need to be filtered under high pressure without the need to clean the cake.

Under the pressure of the feed pump, the material liquid to be filtered is delivered to each filter chamber to separate the filter medium (choose the appropriate filter cloth according to the industry), solid and liquid. A filter cake forms on the filter cloth until the filter chamber is filled. The filtrate flows to the lower outlet channel along the filter plate groove through the filter cloth and is discharged centrally. After filtration, the stain can be rinsed with water. After washing, the remaining washing liquid is sometimes removed by compressed air. After filtration, the filter press was turned on to remove the filter cake, which remained between two adjacent filter plates. Clean the filter cloth and press the plate filter again to start the next working cycle.

3. vertical filter press

It overlaps with the filter plate of the vertical filter to form a set of small filter chambers. Continuous filter belt is used. After filtration, the filter belt is moved to stop removing slag and clean the filter belt to automate the operation. The filter press has a wide range of applications and a simple structure. It can automate the pressure and peeling of the plate and frame, the discharge of residues and the cleaning of the filter cloth, which is conducive to the large-scale filter press. After the elastic rubber separator is added to the filter chamber of the filter press, the filter cake is compressed by the rubber separator with high-pressure water or compressed air, which can further compress the filter cake and make the filter cake volume variable. The dehydration process of the belt press filter can be divided into four important stages: pretreatment, gravity dehydration, wedge zone preloading dehydration and press dehydration.

The material of the floc is gradually added to the filter belt, and the free water outside the floc is separated from the floc by gravity, thereby gradually reducing the moisture of the sludge floc and deteriorating the activity. Therefore, the dewatering efficiency of the gravity dewatering section depends on the nature of the filter medium (filter belt), the nature of the sludge and the coagulation level of the sludge. Gravity levels remove most of the moisture in the sludge.
